Negative strength?

Just a quick question - can a minion's strength be considered negative when calculating damage? Longwinded example: Agrippina is equipped with a bastard sword, but afflicted with Nosferatu Putresence. Bear Paw attacks her, and range is close. Before range is determined, Bear Paw uses a Song of Serenity. Does Agrippina now strike for : 1) 1 (Base) -1 => 0 (Putresence) -1 => -1 (Song of Serenity) +1 => 0 (Bastard Sword) or 2) 1 (Base) -1 => 0 (Putresence) -1 => -1 (Song of Serenity) => 0 (Since strength cannot go Negative) +1 => 1 (Bastard Sword) Note that if case (1) were true and Agrippina elected not to strike with her Bastard Sword, she would be doing negative damage. I realise it is impossible to 'heal' damage like this, but the question is if this damage is 'reset' to zero before the effects of equipment are applied. If (2) _is_ correct and Agrippina were to strike with an Undead Strength (Strike: Strength +1 Damage), then would she do 1 Damage (ie. the +1 Strength is applied before the 'zero reset') or 2 Damage (ie. the +1 Strength is applied after the 'zero reset'). Personally I hope that (1) is correct, but thought I'd better check... Negative damage is treated as zero. > Longwinded example: > > Agrippina is equipped with a bastard sword, but afflicted with Nosferatu > Putresence.
