yup another rules question that i'm sure has been asked a milliong times.... can you Bum's Rush an already tapped minion? If in combat and someone plays Majesty (strike: combat ends) does combat end immediately or do the strikes resolve simultaneously and whatever strike the other vamp used also takes effect? (i'm guessing simultaneous) thanks

You do not have to be untapped to enter combat. Nor does entering combat tap you. You are tapped by taking actions, or by blocking actions (and you normally must be untapped to do either). If you are in combat by a third mechanism then it is irrelevant whether you are tapped or not. > If in combat and someone plays Majesty (strike: combat ends) does combat > end immediately or do the strikes resolve simultaneously and whatever > strike the other vamp used also takes effect? (i'm guessing simultaneous) Strike: Combat Ends (S:CE) ends combat before Strike Resolution. Opposing minions get to play their strikes, but their strikes do not resolve, and therefore have no effect. Other effects that take place during strike resolution are also nullified. The Strike Resolution for First Strike takes place before the normal Strike Resolution, but this is still after the Majesty ends combat. S:CE is a very powerful effect. There are not many cards that can beat it. Lupus Australis ____ ____ \ \----/ / |()__()| __\ __ /__ / __\()/__ \ |/ \==/ \| | || |

Also note that minions in combat fight the same whether they are tapped or untapped. > > If in combat and someone plays Majesty (strike: combat ends) does combat > > end immediately or do the strikes resolve simultaneously and whatever > > strike the other vamp used also takes effect? If *both* strikes are S:CE, then they resolve simultaneously, as usual. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
