How would Zip Gun, Ghoul Retainer, and Mass Reality
function together.
Ghoul can use a weapon the vampire is not using.
Zip gun does one damage to the bearer
Weapons possessed by that vampire do +2 damage.
In particular does the zip gun do +2 damage and does
the retainer or the vampire take the zip damage.
Could be a quite nasty combo, particularly with
DBR. Immagine doing 5 normal and 2 aggravated with
2 Mass Realities ot there. Unpreventable by Skin of Steel
or Dodge too.

The weapon does inflict +2 damage (as a strike).
The bearer (the vampire) still takes one damage the
first time the Zip Gun is used in the combat.

* The Ghoul is never the "bearer" of the weapon that it
uses. Any side-effect of using the weapon (e.g. Zip Gun,
Grenade) is applied to the Employing minion, as normal.
And the Zip Gun is still possessed by the original vampire so it still
does +1/2 damage (Mass Reality).

Perfectly correct and legal. Just thank god the Ravnos don't have much
stealth so the Mass Reality gets blocked.

Oops. I mean "to the opponent" - I was trying to emphasize that
the +2 damage didn't apply to the Zip Gun's damage to the
bearer. Pretty sloppy on my part. I apologize.

No. Zip Gun only deal the self-damage when it is used (up to a maximum
of once per combat). This is errata/correction to the VtES wording.
