Opened my gehenna boosters and I think I could compete fairly well in the amount of crusades i've gotten. 60 opened boosters and 15 crusades, that makes it a clean 25% of rares being crusades. Anyone gotten higher ratios? If not, do I win something? -Tuomas

[ quoted text not captured ] I have not gotten a better percentage but considering the rares are 18% thats not too bad. You do win sympathy though. I came in at 15 crusades in 78 boosters. (19.2%) -JTP

[ quoted text not captured ] I´m scared to count mine.... any number higher than nine would be terrible, since nine is all I need to get one of each. If any doubles come up i´m sure I can trade for the missing ones. I hope they never do this again on such a small expansion. :(

In 3 boxes I've found "only" 18 Crusades (6 in each boxes for a ratio of 1:6)... but I've found 2 of them at the pre-release. As a side note, I've only 1 "Crusade: Dublin" and 1 "Crusade: Paris" but 3 "Crusade: London" and 3 "Crusade: Istanbul". This time: no wrong cards (as the "Wrestling" Black Hand). Bye! Andrea Ravera

[ quoted text not captured ] I'm afraid u didnt not win. I opened one display box and found *10* crusades for 36 rares, that is 27.7 % of crusades... Considering the checklist, the average number is 6.48 (!!!) in one box. Why the hell are there so many !!! I understand that crusades are needed as rare cards but why 9 ? 3 or 4 in a set would be enough. And as I'm quite an old player I already have many of them. I'm soooooooooooooooo glad that I let you have the new rares and get the shitty ones. Oh and I'd like to point out that I wont buy an other display as I first intended *because* of that. Mochuda

[ quoted text not captured ] Oh and I'd like to add that I may look a bit upset in my post but I'm upset because I find that Gehenna is a great set and that LSJ and the developpers have made a great job in it. So I was expecting to get all the great cards I saw and get a bunch of unuseful stuff instead. Crypt and libraries cards seem very well balanced and interesting to play. So good job again ! I have only 2 things to reproach (and those 2 things seem to be the same as everybody else) : - those bloody !@# 9 crusades - the way groupe 4 was introduced for the independents. Fortunately it appears that next set will be Independent-focused as it was rightly expected (but please do not change the grouping rule. It's just fine as it is now) Mochuda

I am not sure of my "Crusade Ratio" yet, but I can say that for the first time ever I got 2 copies of the same vampire in one booster. (Shahid) What are the odds of that? (Should it be possible with the way boosters are randomized at all?)

[ quoted text not captured ] Assuming the vampires are random in each booster: Chance of no Shahid: (49/50)*(49/50)*(49/50)=94.1% Chance of 1 Shahid: (1/50)*(49/50)*(49/50)*3 = 5.76% Chance of 2 Shahid: (1/50)*(1/50)*(49/50) *3 = 0.12 % Chance of 3 Shahid: (1/50)*(1/50)*(1/50) = 1/125,000 or really really small If we ignore the fact that it is Shahid the chance of getting two of the same vampire is Chance of getting 2 Shahid * 50 (50 different vampires) = 5.8% -JTP

If the odds are actually 5.8% if the vampires are truely random (more than 1 in 20) then we would probably see 1 or two boosters like this in every box. As we do not see it that often, its likely that there is a mechanism to prevent this, and the pack you got is a freak accident. So while it may have seemed rhetorical, there was actually a valuable answer buried in there. :D Besides, I'm bored. -JTP

I can't remember which vampire and I'm not too worried. These things happen. John
