Can Telepathic Vote Counting be used after the vote is lost?
What about after a Political Backlash has been played?
BTW, I don't see what's so confusing about Hidden Lurker. It clearly
says "This vampire now enters _the_ combat...". It does not say that
it "attacks the minion" or somthing like that which would allow some
other minion to block. The text clearly indicates that _the combat_ is
not over yet. The fact that it is an action card just means that it
taps the playing vampire, that needs to be untapped and have obfuscate
to be able to play HL. I just love that card with Marty Lech and the flame
thrower... did I mention IR Goggles?

Well, you score big points for using the card rationally in spite of the
incorrect symbol on the card.
(Tom's "ruling" that it should be an action modifier makes the card
behave as you've been playing it.)
The thing is: Action cards describe events that *don't* happen if the
action is blocked.
Computer hacking: Bleed at +1. It doesn't say it can be blocked.
All actions (Bleed, hunt, equip, 4th Tradition: accounting, call a vote, etc.)
can be blocked. Directed actions by the directee, other actions by the
Predator or Prey.
anyway, I'm fairly sure the "_the_" you emphasised is not on the card, not that
it would change anything.

Well, but with HL you take a new action (and tapping the vampire) of
entering an old combat.
Would it be more correct if my prey could use another minion to block
the action (the action of "entering an old combat")?

Correct, I did not have the card with me when I wrote the firs
article. The _the_ is there in "enters combat with the blocking
minion". This could also mean that HL can be blocked by another
minion than the one doing the original blocking.
Did anyone know the answer to my original question of whether
Telepathic Vote Counting can be played after losing vote, or after
Political Backlash has been played?

Well, with Fast Reaction, you take a new action (and tapping [sic] the
vampire) of entering an old combat.
Fast Reaction is a Reaction card, which cannot be blocked and it says:
"Tap this reacting vampire"
Hidden Lurker says "Tap this Vampire". Why would it say that if it were an
action? All actions "Tap this Minion"

NO. That's exactly what is incorrect about HL being an Action - my Prey or
Predator can block the action of entering an old combat

The vote can't be over until it's no longer possible to cast votes. Hence
in either situation it's too late for TVC.
