You target a specific retainer, and attempt to kill it. Overkill is wasted and affects neither the vampire nor any other retainers. Shane H.W. I have a little confusion about how damaging retainers works. I understand that you can only target retainers from long range. Let's say I have two resplendent protectors on Elliot Sinclair, and my predator takes a shotgun strike from long range, declaring that he is targeting the retainers. Does he: 0) Target one retainer, blast its one life into scrap, and the other two damage from the shotgun are wasted, or 1) Same as 0) above but the remaining two damage go into Elliot, with the surviving resplendent protector preventing one damage, or 2) Target retainers in general, blasting the one life each from both retainers with the remaining damage from the shotgun wasted, or 3) Same as 2) above but the remaining one damage goes into Elliot, or 4) Same as 3) above but the remaining damage is prevented by the Resplendent protectors as they die. ??????????? Please advise. Chick...@msn.com
