soul gem on a contested vamp?

sorry if this was asked before but... if i have a soul gem on a vamp and my vamp becomes contested and i yield/burn my vamp, does the soul gem still work (after all, my vamp was burned...)? simulacrum adapt, migrate, or die

No. The Gem is a minion card (as opposed to a master card), and is therefore "out of the game" while its bearer is contested. If the contested bearer is yielded, all cards played on the yielded vampire are simply burned, card text notwithstanding for the same reason (the card is "Out of the Game", so card text does not apply). -- L.
