Compare to Anson's text: "If Anson is ready, you get 2 master phase actions (instead of 1) <during your master phase>." Note that Anson's text explicitly says it only works if he's ready. Bartholomew's text, on the other hand, is "If Bartholomew is untapped at the beginning of your turn, you gain 1 pool from the blood bank." No mention of him being required to be ready, so that ability works even if he's in torpor. Josh i am the textmaster (are you the erratakeeper?)
