i put a mark of damnation on a vampire. does the card stay on the vampire after i'm ousted? normally i'd say yes. but the card can be destroyed with a d-action (against the controller - me). so if it stays in play how can the card be destroyed afterwards, i.e. who could block the destruction? thanks pallando -- __________________________________________________ lt. cmdr. pallando of g.a.b. black ice team G.A.B. was started to fight Bad Traders. You are not the controller: If you put a minion card like Army of Rats in play (but not on a vampire), you are the controller. And you are the controller of a master card you play. But when you play a minion-card (equipment, retainer, Atonement, MoD...) on a vampire, the controller of the minion card is the controller of the vampire the card is played on. So your prey is the controller of MoD. > so if it stays in play how can the > card be destroyed afterwards, i.e. who could block the destruction? the action to burn the card is not directed, so prey and predator can block it. thanks! i should read the card text more carefully before asking questions! pallando -- __________________________________________________ lt. cmdr. pallando of g.a.b. black ice team G.A.B. was started to fight Bad Traders. Actually this brings up a question of mine. For Pentex Subversion, going on what you just said the D action to destroy it is made against the person who put it there? so they get a chance to block? The way some people played it before is that it was against the controller of the vampire. If a minion controlled by someone else takes an action to burn a Pentex Subversion you control, you may block. Rulebook [6.2.2.1]: -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. No. Cards you control are burned when you are ousted. [ quoted text not captured ]

If you steal a discipline card with Ethan Locke or Daintain Black Magician, it is still controlled by the Methusaleh that played it? Thus I'm assuming it requires explicit card text (Fragment, Rack, or things like Disputed Territory and Succubus Club) to actually transfer control? Thanks! Halcyan 2

Stealing implicitly changes control of the card to the new (stealing) Methuselah. > Thus I'm assuming it requires explicit card text (Fragment, Rack, or things > like Disputed Territory and Succubus Club) to actually transfer control?
