My Nosferatu Shadow-warriors lost their first ever game last night, though not by much. During that game the following situation arose: Tura Vaughn bled, i woke Chester with rat's warning, prevented, pressed, tapped the Spawning pool at the start of the next round and played taste of vitae to gain all the blood Tura lost BEFORE she could play Majesty to scuttle off back to brujah-land. Is this ok? i increasingly think that Spawning Pool is a dam' fine card, given enough rat's warnings and mighty grapples, and the taste aspect [whether or not the above example is actually legal] makes me even more confident about that statement. No, by card text on Taste of Vitae: "Only usable after strike resolution." -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. If not so, I'm gonna take the 4 Spawning pools out of my trade list as this would greatly increase it's usebility. LSJ??? What is the ruling on this issue? Taste of Vitae counts blood that the opposing vampire spent to heal damage (or prevent destruction). It doesn't care whether the damage was environmental or not. After strike resolution (as required by ToV), you can play taste to gain the blood that the opposing vampire spent healing damage, even the blood he spent healing damage done by Spawning Pool (or Weather Control, etc.) -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
