Situ: Bear Paw bleeds my prey. Basilia Blocks. Bear Paw plays Clan Loyaly (preventing Gangrel from blocking the acting vampire until the end of the turn). So now Tusk (a Nos) Blocks. Aggripina plays Mask 1K to take over for Bear Paw. Questions (and my answers): 1) Does Clan Loyalty apply at all to Aggripina, since it says "the acting vampire" (is it applied to the action or to the vampire)? I assume it, like most action modifiers, is applied to the action. So ... 2) Does Clan Loyalty change from Gang to Nosf (changing with the acting vampire) (i.e., is Tusk now inelligible but Basilia free to try again)? I assume that it does not change, and Tusk is OK to block. So ... 3) Clan Loyaly says "until the end of the turn", so can Gangrel not block neither of the Mask'ed Aggripina, nor the ready-to-act-again Bear Paw? I assume that this is true, despite my wishing that it wasn't. Either way ... 4) Aggripina can now play another Clan Loyalty to free herself of Tusk's (and all other Nosferatu's) blocking attempts as well as Gangrel's, since she hasn't played a Clan Loyaly yet, correct? -- L. This is an "until end of turn" effect so it modifiers the vampire that is the acting vampire when you play it, rather than modifying the action. Aggripina does not have the benefit of Clan Loyalty. >2) Does Clan Loyalty change from Gang to Nosf (changing with the acting > vampire) (i.e., is Tusk now inelligible but Basilia free to try again)? >I assume that it does not change, and Tusk is OK to block. It wouldn't have changed, no. >3) Clan Loyaly says "until the end of the turn", so can Gangrel not block > neither of the Mask'ed Aggripina, nor the ready-to-act-again Bear Paw? >I assume that this is true, despite my wishing that it wasn't. It would have only applied to Aggrippina. Things aren't always as bad as you fear ;) >4) Aggripina can now play another Clan Loyalty to free herself of Tusk's > (and all other Nosferatu's) blocking attempts as well as Gangrel's, > since she hasn't played a Clan Loyaly yet, correct? Aggripina can play her own Clan Loyalty, yes. Tom Wylie rec.games.trading-cards.* Network Representative for aa...@cats.ucsc.edu Wizards of the Coast, Inc.
