anyway,
what is the best weapon to equip / conceal and what are the best
minions?
best i can come up with is War Ghoul and Shambling hordes (shudder),
both with Wooden Stakes...
that or CEL (superior of course) weenies with .44's...
Anyone?
anyone?
Bueller?

I'm partial to Muddled Vampire Hunters with concealed Garrottes...
(Meat Hooks work nicely too)

So far, I've found CEL vampires (not necessarily weenies either) to be the
minions who benefit most from the new Concealed Weapon.

umm..isn't the meat hoook/press a bit redundant with a muddles? i
mean, if the enemy doesn't go down in the first round, you're dead.
(assuming you were at close).
poker or brass knuckles with muddled....or...shock horror...stakes, of
course (just like warghouls and shambles).
muddles with a stake at first strike can put anyone on any blood in
torpor with first strike. that's gotta be good. (barring all the stuff
they might play to screw it up).
wendell delburton with stakes is good too. +2 damage with them. which
equals torpor. plus maneouvre, regenerate, built in rush, ranged
damage in case they do out maneovre you....
but back to concealed weapons....
i was thinking of a weenie horde with concealed gas powered chainsaws,
that strike blows in an unepectedly lucky manner.
how about them salubri antitribu? they've got to be a bit more useful
with the new concealed weapon, right? (and weighted walking stick)
ok i'm babbling now..

I´d say Toreador with CEL, concealing Sniper Rifles and using Ammo
cards and Blur. :)

Give Salubri antitribu a shot at concealing out Garrotte. Should be
a decent setup for a good barbeque.

!Salubris would get my vote.

I actually played my new !Salubri deck this past weekend which makes use
of aggravated Garrotes. Had great fun and managed to burn a few
Assamites in the process :-)

Wonder what Leandro's final thoughts were, as the arms dealer plunged
the stake into his heart? Perhaps he had some memories of his own
mortality and thought: damn!

Well, I've built a nice CEL deck, with a few aus and pre cards. Mainly, 3-7
caps !tor and !bru, all of them with CEL. Lots of permanents(magnums,
atonements, laptops, radios, etc) and 45 combat cards. It's a nasty deck,
but mainly for your predator if your prey is a full-forward one. Sure, nose
of the hound and aire of elations comes handy, but it's just Another
Blocker One. I agree with most of the threat, now !salubri should have
something to say, well, ermm, perhaps not that much, but what do yo expect
from this aus/val guys? :)

Well, I was using Meat Hook as the example of "Free Str+1 weapon".
Poker's just as effective, and maybe even moreso if he can strike a Kiasyd
for 5 agg at first strike.
Plus, my Muddles and Wendell with Concealed Weapons deck (which still
needs alot of work, I admit) has some protective measures like Flak
Jackets, so that the Muddles might actually live through to a
second round...
Muddles can also play Weighted Walking stick instead of concealing anything,
but it shatters the first time he strikes with it.
Got a side-question here as I go through my cards in reference to all
of this concealed weapon coolness. I got a box of the old Jyhad stuff
a while back and while sorting through equipment cards, I am trying to
figure out:
what exactly is the difference between the old Jyhad "Stake" and
"Wooden Stake?" Are they both legal for play now?

They are officially two different printings of the same card.
Both are legal for play, and, as with all cards, are played according
to the most recent printing's card text.

Just to make sure, you do know that you can only set range with Sniper Rifle if
you have the Rifle when you block. (You can't block, Conceal/Disguise it out,
and then use it to set range). See:

Because it uses the word "blocks" not "blocked".
It requires the bearer to block an action. The minion was not the
bearer when they blocked the action, in the situation of a Disguised
Weapon style card.
By being in the present tense, the effect triggers when the block
actually occurs, but is used before range etc.

Yeah, sorry for that. :) Sometimes the semantics of V:TES are a bit
too complicated for people like me, whose primary language isn´t
English. :)
