In the V:EKN Tournament Rules 2000-2001 Tournament Season we can read : >4.4. Card Elevation and Disposition >Players must keep their cards above the level of the playing surface. >Revealing cards in your hand or uncontrolled area to an opponent is >not allowed. Can a player reveal the vampire in his uncontrolled area to all the opponent ? You will maybe question why i want to do that. This is : Player A and Player B, discover soon after the start of the game that they play the same clan. This can lead to the contesting of card and the 2 players dont want it. Player A said to all players he will use vampire X-Y and Z Player B said to all players he will use vampire H-I and J Can they do that ? -- Khaleph Alendis, High Priest of Maizerets VEKN Setite Prince of Beauport http://cdd.citeweb.net/khaleph/ Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Table talk is allowed (and expected/encouraged, in general). It seem the expression Revealing cards is not what i think. My englsh not good enoth i suppose... But to be sure i understand : «Revealing cards» is not the same that : «said to all player the card i will use» ? Yes, they dont have the proof that i have effectively the vampire i said i have before i put it in the controled region, but they know it because i've said (revealed it's identity) what vampire it is... So, if i said what card is on my controled region, it's ok, but if i take the card in my hand and move it for all player to see it, it's not ok ? -- Khaleph Alendis, High Priest of Maizerets VEKN Setite Prince of Beauport http://cdd.citeweb.net/khaleph/ [ quoted text not captured ]

No, by relatively clear wording of the cited rule. I believe the confusion comes in based on the use of "an", which might suggest that I can never show it to one person. But I *could* show it to all people. A clearer rewording might be: "No card in <wherever> may ever be shown to any or all of the other players." -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "I know my ex-boyfriend lies. They only know it if you've been truthful, but yes. Making statements about cards is not the same as revealing cards - revealing cards here means showing the faces of the cards to others. > So, if i said what card is on my controled region, it's ok, but if i > take the card in my hand and move it for all player to see it, it's not > ok ?
