It's pretty well hidden. Damage from a Retainer is not a strike. Dodge
negates a strike. Therefore, dodge does nothing to avoid damage from a
Retainer.

No. Vast Wealth gives the recipient another choice for an action: namely,
(if unblocked) to go through the Library until he finds a weapon. The
"As an action, which would be at +1 stealth" is a clue that it is an action,
not a master phase effect.
