Then they can't play with Ancient Hearts, because the cardbacks are different from the cardbacks of VtES. -- L. Well, if you want to get that anal about it, just use individual card protectors and put in a uniform cardback in back of the regular card. Jeez... can't anyone trust anyone else? It's not like we are all playing in tournaments here. I think most of the people here play among friends... I certainly don't see any point in cheating against them. [ quoted text not captured ]

I certainly don't see any point in cheating against them. *I* didn't want to get that anal about it. *I* was following up to a post about not mixing card backs. My play group uses mixed backs (all three versions) with no problem whatsoever. When I play in (non-sanctioned) tournaments, I also don't care if anyone wishes to play mixed backs (VtES/AH nor VtES/Jyhad). I was simply illustrating that "mixed card backs" is no lnger a valid basis for disallowing Jyhad cards (unless you also disallow AH). [ quoted text not captured ]

Well, I'm sorry about misinterpreting your remarks. But pointing out the subtle difference between the VtES and AH backs gave me that impression. > My play group uses mixed backs (all three versions) with no problem > whatsoever. If you had said that in your original reply, I would have understood (and immediately agreed with) your point completely. Unfortunately, it was too brief to convey your thoughts. Barring that, perhaps he started playing after the second printing, and couldn't get old Jyhad cards in quantities approximating a set. Jyhad is still cheaper than V:teS in most places, but not all. Who knows?
