"An honest Mortician out of work : crooked Procurers do his job in his stead" How could we not react ?! Procurer does what Leonardo does (or near enough), better than him (1 more stealth), for a cost of blood instead of pool, and no Clan restriction ?! One of the best allies ever has just been wallpaperized... :-((((( Orpheus, syndicated Giovanni protester.

Oh, and I forgot (don't own the card yet) : it's not Unique, is it ?!?!

Well...your mortician can hunt for *anyone*, which can have some interesting cross-table applications. If you only ever use him for your own minions, Procurers are probably the better deal. (They aren't unique, but they have one fewer life than he does.) cmb [ quoted text not captured ]

Leonardo, Mortician Ally Giovanni 1 pool Unique mortal with 2 life. 1 strength, 0 bleed. Leonardo may move 1 blood from the blood bank to any ready vampire as a +1 stealth action. Procurer Ally 2 blood Ghoul with 1 life, 1 strength, 0 bleed. Procurer may move 1 blood from the blood bank to a ready vampire you control as a +2 stealth action. non unique, 1 less life, no clan restriction, only moves blood to a vampire you control, ghoul, more stealth. very similar and possibly slightly better, but not strictly better as Leo can for example be used to help other players. also, charisma or Regina make it possible to get Loe for free!

[ quoted text not captured ] Nope. Your only solution is to have Leonardo rush any Procurers he sees. Leonardo has 2 life while the Procurers only have 1, so he'll be able to kill them and then corner the market. You could also ghoul Leonardo so he can rush with Thrown Gates. Procurers can't be ghouled. But seriously, you can get Leonardo for free with Sunset Strip, Charisma or Regina and in any case he never costs blood. Procurers cost 2 blood, so you'll need them to procure three times before you make any profit. Even then, it's just as good as a hunt (1 action, net gain 1 blood). Finally, Leonardo can give blood to any vampire. Procurers can only feed your own. I think there's still room for Leonardo. Matt Morgan

Sure. But what bothers me the most is the cost IN BLOOD !! Could that be a typo ? I could understand an equivalent with one less life (Leonardo can block once and survive), ghoul instead of wraith (slight advantages to both), +1 stealth (which is HUGE) but only to your minions (which will be the case most of the time, although not always) for 1 more POOL. Not for 2 BLOOD. So, typing mistake or not ? LSJ ?? > also, charisma or Regina make it possible to get Loe for free! Leo. ;) There may be retainer equivalents, dunno at the moment. But that musn't be a factor : a card must be balanced. As there are so few allies out here not requiring pool, I think / hope it's a typo. ----------- Orpheus

If you are going to need blood, because you use a costly discipline, you can spend it now (or on another minion) and get it back quickly. I thought the same as you at first, but let's be fair. Leonardo presents more options and Giovanni decks can use the *two* to better effect. Other clans can't. best, Fabio "Sooner" Macedo V:TES National Coordinator for Brazil Giovanni Clan Newsletter Editor ----------------------------------------------------- V:tES Brasil Site (only in Portuguese for now) http://planeta.terra.com.br/lazer/vtesbrasil/
