Peace Paul, No. After each damage dealing step, there is a damage resolution step. The vamp w/ aggr dam goes to torpor during the damage resolution step and then combat ends (only one combatant left), before the press step. > b) Can the vampire who did the agrivated damage use a > press to continue beating on its opponent? No, there is no opponent left after the damage resolution. [question deleted, not a possible situation] >2) If a vampire (say a bruha) recrutes an allie (say the slashers) >can the allie later on recrute another allie (say arms dealer)? Yes, an ally can recruit an ally which does not require a vampire do the recruiting. The Arms Dealer has the Brujah symbol on it, so NO The Slashers couldn't recruit an AD, but they could recruit a Hell Hound, for example. >3) What if I've got a vampire in torpor who has three blood on it, >that's enough blood for it to leave but my opponent has a ready >vampire with a sports bike and a shotgun that I know he would love >to use to send my vampire back if I try it, but I have a muddled >vampire hunter (or other allie) I know he doesn't want to mess with >can I have that allie rescue my vampire from torpor with the vampire >paying the blood? No. Allies cannot rescue Kindred from Torpor. If you had a vampire minion, then the answer would be yes. >4) Say I have a muddled vampire hunter he attacks a vampire with >two blood. The hunter gets first strike, BLAM, 4 points of damage. >The question is, is the vampire off to torpor and my hunter back >out hunting or does the vampire still get a chance to do it's damge >and the hunter's off to the ash pit? First Strikes resolve before other non-FS damaging strikes (NOTE: Strike: Dodge and Strike: Combat Ends resolve BEFORE First Strikes), so the vampire fighting the MVH is torporized before it can take its strike. The MVH is alive to cause more mayhem. >5) Does voting tap vampires and can tapped vampires vote or do you >just get more votes because you have a primogen, prince, or justicar >under your control? No, casting the inate title votes does not tap a vampire. Yes, a tapped Prince, Justicar, or Primogen can still cast those votes. >6) Does anyone know when V:TES or Dark Sovereins is really going >to be out? Whenever WotC decides to. >I'd really apreciate any insight any one has or even an address or >sight I can send my questions. No to all the above. Once aggravated damage is resolved (and not prevented), combat is over, and the aggravated Vampire goes to torpor. (Aggravated damage against an Ally would not end combat, of course, since the aggravated damage would then be treated as normal damage). >2) If a vampire (say a bruha) recrutes an allie (say the slashers) >can the allie later on recrute another allie (say arms dealer)? While there is nothing specifically prohibiting an ally from taking the "Recruit Ally" action, there are currently no allies for them to recruit. All allies are currently recruitable by kindred only (card text), or by kindred of only one clan (card symbol). The slashers are not capable of recruiting a Brujah-only ally because they are not Brujah. No. "Encounter V in torpor to rescue/diablerize" is a Kindred Only action. Allies are not Kindred. Once damage resolves such that the victim goes to torpor, combat is over. So, with first strike, the opponent's strike would not resolve since combat would be over by that time. >5) Does voting tap vampires and can tapped vampires vote or do you >just get more votes because you have a primogen, prince, or justicar >under your control? Voting does not tap a vampire (except under the influence of Disarming Presence). Tapped vampires vote just as well as untapped vampires. >I'd really apreciate any insight any one has or even an address or >sight I can send my questions.
