Oh, my!!! I don't know who this person is who posted this but I believe
he is full of the stuff you find on the floors of stables and on the ground
out in the cattle pastures. I don't know what would cause someone to type
anything like that.
I've been buying boxes of cards for many years and I also frequent EBAY
for singles quite often. Granted, it is true that I don't specifically
shop for boxes of unopened cards on EBAY and so I might miss certain things
but I see enough to get a pretty good idea of what's out there. EBAY
suppliers do not match Potomac prices nor any of the other best sources,
like The Lasombra's or All Star Trading Cards. I don't believe they can.
I don't believe you could run a business that way, buying at wholesale
prices and then dumping on EBAY.
I suppose it's possible that from time to time, someone will need to dump
some excess supply of something below cost. The original print run, Jyhad,
was so overprinted that you could find fantastic, below original cost deals
in all sorts of places, EBAY included. (One of my friends told me he got
something like 11 boxes of Jyhad boosters for $50 from a hobby store.) But
if you're looking for a specific print run, you're likely wasting your time
looking for cards cheaper than the online mail order dealers like Potomac.
