If the controller of KRCG News Radio taps the card to give a vampire that
she controls intercept, does KRCG get untapped if the block is not
successful?
I do not have access to the V:TES version of Soul Gem of Etrius (only Jyhad
Back). What would happen to a Vampire that is drawn from your crypt that
is the same age as the vampire that has the Soul Gem?
Concerning the political action card Protect Thine Own, we are not sure if
and when the vampire blood is burned to pay for the political action?
Since the card is an action, I assume that it would be played if the action
is not blocked but what if the action is not blocked but the vote is not
successful? Would the blood still have to be paid?
The acting Methuselah is blocked by her predator. Combat is established at
close range.
Kij Dansky (prey's vampire in combat) plays Blood Fury as her strike. Bear
Paw plays Body
of Sun at the basic level. During Damage Resolution, Bear Paw does not
have the blood to
pay for Blood Fury and is going to Torpor. Bear Paw plays Skin of Steel to
avoid the Body
of Sun damage. I think that would be allowed and would save Bear Paw from
being burned.
Is this correct?
Dauntain Black Magician is Masked of 1000 Faces for Dauntain's ability to
burn Tremere
Antitribu. I understand this is not possible. Please confirm.
If a Vampire with superior dominate plays a Conditioning at superior and
pays 1 blood then
a Vampire with basic dominate Mask of 1000 Faces it, does that action
continue with the
action modified Conditioning at superior?
Can Stolen Blood be used to pay for damage in the same round? What if the
Stolen Blood
is in excess of the Vampire's Capacity?

No. You tapped the card to produce an effect, and the card will not untap
until its controller's next untap phase.

I don't think the two versions are different. The Soul Gem effect is
unsuccessful if the two ages match.

There are two things going on here: an action, and if that action is
successful, a vote. If the action in successful, you must pay any costs.
It doesn't matter whether the vote is successful (i.e., passes); the vote
itself is a result of the successful action.
I don't have a Body of Sun in front of me, so I'll leave that question for
someone else.

I still don't understand M1KF myself.

The excess blood drains off before it can be used to heal damage.

No. The vampire she controls gained intercept. Nothing on card text
indicates that the KRCG is to be untapped if the block fails.

Vampires the same age are treated as if they were younger by the
Soul Gem.

Yes. The blood is paid when the action resolves (before the vote).
If it cannot be paid, then it fizzles and no voting occurs.
The cost is not retrieved if the vote fails.

No. Skin of Steel only prevents damage inflicted by the strike of the
opposing minion. "damage from a strike" does not include side-effect
damage (like that of Body of Sun or Zip Gun, etc.)

Confirmed. Mask cannot be used on a special-ability-action.

Yes.

Yes.

Then it drains off (down to the vampire's capacity) before any blood
can be burned to heal damage.
Blood beyond capacity always drains off immediately.

! Do you mean that the vampire from your crypt is treated as if it were
younger, or the vampire being burned is treated as if it were younger? The
first would be a drastic change from the previous ruling...

The vampire who played it (action modifiers and reaction cards' costs
are always paid for immediately as the card is played -- only the
cost of the action itself is delayed until the action resolves).

Sorry. Brain lapse on my part.
I meant older. Soul Gem treats a vampire of the same age the same
as an *older* vampire - that is, the new (same-aged) vampire is placed
in your uncontrolled area and the Gem is burned, just as an *older*
vampire would be.
A thousand apologies for the (ludicrous, daft, extreme, etc.) error.
And thanks for the attempted cover imbedded in your question,
unfortunately, reality is worse than that simple ambiguity :-)

I may have asked this before, but if so I've forgotten the answer and it's
not listed on the Rulesmonger page mirror as far as I can see.
Can Skin of Steel (inferior) be used to prevent the damage you're inflicting
on yourself with a Burst of Sunlight? (strike: 1R/2R, aggravated, to all
vampires in combat)
Relatedly, will Flesh of Marble reduce all damage from *all* sources
(including, for example, environmental effects such as Weather Control
or Blood of Acid) to 1 point at superior? If so, how does that work with
effects that produce damage at times other than strike resolution - does
Flesh force all the damage to wait till the end of the round and then get
reduced, or is it perhaps reduced to 1 point each time the vampire takes
damage?
Thanks,
Josh
