Dark Sovereigns --------------- House Rules List (net.personality-generated) ============================================ Description of the List ----------------------- * This list is posted on rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad on the first and sixteenth of every month. * This is a compilation of opinions from net.users. All net.users are invited to add to this list (through e-mail to me). The more, the merrier. * Additions and comments should be sent to: sjoh...@math.sc.edu Please include the text "house rule" in the subject line. * NOTE: Some rules are mix-n-match, some are mutually exclusive. Take what you want and ignore the rest. * Opposition to a particular house rule is marked with -INI- (instead of [INI], which indicates support). * If you want more information on a rule, e-mail the first person listed on the support line - please don't clutter the newsgroup with it. Thanks. (Chances are high that any odd rule has been hashed over too much already.) Clarifications and Design Considerations ---------------------------------------- Re_vamp_ing rules that worked satisfactorily anyhow (includes wallpaper). o. Equipment-Locations are *not* equipment in any way, neither when brought into play nor while on a minion. The are "equipped" simply as an undirected action at +1 stealth. [LSJ] o. Inner Circle members are granted any option available to a Justicar. [LSJ] Regina Giovanni, The Right Hand of Augustus - Reduces the cost of Recruiting Allies and Employing Retainers by one blood or one pool, as appropriate. [LSJ] Fear of Mekhet - may be moved to a Justicar or IC member. [LSJ] Force of Will - Causes only one action (an enhanced (D) Bleed), and does not untap the acting (tapped) vampire. [LSJ] Game World Considerations -------------------------- Changes to make the card game feel like, or reflect the mechanics of, the "real" world (where vampires exist, of course). Horrid Reality - The weapon gained is burned or re-shuffled (as appropriate to the skill) regardless of who controls the weapon at the end of combat, even if it had been stolen or burned during combat (it was just an illusion, after all). [LSJ] Triole's Revenge - The victim Ventrue is burned only when the blood he gains from hunting would cause him to exceed his capacity (when the excess would normally be discarded or ignored). [LSJ] ---------- Rules indented with "# " are commented out - they have become the official rules. They are left in this list in the event that the RT reverses the ruling (making the rule once again just a house rule). [LSJ] - L. Scott Johnson (sjoh...@math.sc.edu) -- ----- L.
