Preface:
Recently someone became upset when I corrected his
blatanly erroneous answers to a question
posted on this newsgroup. I did so untactfully.
---
An open letter to unhappy posters of incorrect
information who feel mistreated by me:
If one posts an answer, it would be nice if one
checked with a rulebook before misquoting it, or
read a card before claiming text on it which is
not.
The rules are confusing enough with adding more
inconsistencies through o'er-hasty replies.
If one can't post a correct answer, then no answer
would be preferable to an incorrect one.
As far as my having too much time on my hands (as
evidenced by my correctly quoting the rulebook),
I believe that the people who post questions are
asking for help from people who understand the
rules. People who understand the rules usually
have too much time on their hands :-)
I would be happy to leave the thin-skinned types
to their own ignorance, but prefer to help the
"newbies" and anyone else understand what I
believe is an exceptional game.
If you are unhappy with your treatment for posting
incorrect answers, then post correct ones, don't
whine to me.
