hello all i have a question about the vp assignament. If i survived the table i get 0.5 vp, and if i'm the last one i get 1 additional. Says this that i get 1.5 per be the last one or just 1 vp?? i have saw the archon, some function didn't works well, i want to know if there is another program to do the rounds, etc. If i use more that 3 rounds tornament i can't use it. i have a question about it, what is the optimal tournament seating and how did it calculate them? in 3.8.4 from official v:ekn rules says that in case of a tie the position in the previos event are relevant, instead of remaning pool as use the archon, what is the best option? bye! If the game goes to the time limit (and is therefore ended with more than 1 player still in the game), then the players still in the game get an additional 0.5 VP for being still in the game. If, before time is called, you are the last player in the game, then you get 1 VP (per the normal rules). Time is not called at that table (since the game is already over) and the 'straggler' VPs are not awarded. > i have saw the archon, some function didn't works well, i want to know > if there is another program to do the rounds, etc. If i use more that > 3 rounds tornament i can't use it. i have a question about it, what is > the optimal tournament seating and how did it calculate them? The optimal seating charts are "calculated" by me, and were done to optimize certain parameters: * No pair of players repeat their predator-prey relationship, if possible. * No pair of players share a table through all three rounds, if possible. * Available VPs are equitably distributed. That is, if one player plays at three five-player tables during the tournament, she'll have 15 "available" VPs. In this case, no other player should have less than 14 "available" VPs (that is, the difference in available VPs should be no more than one and should be zero if possible). * No pair of players share a table more often than necessary. * A player doesn't play in the same position. If a player plays second at one table, she shouldn't be seated "second" in any other round. > in 3.8.4 from official v:ekn rules says that in case of a tie the > position in the previos event are relevant, instead of remaning pool > as use the archon, what is the best option? The "best" option for official V:EKN tourneys is the V:EKN rule, which is the rule used by the most recent version of the Archon, I believe. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. You only get 0.5 VP in addition to any VPs you gained by ousting people. If you got 1 VP or 1.5 VP that would equal to/be better than being the only one left on the table, which it naturally shouldn't be. But it would also not be desirable to get nothing for managing to not be ousted since that's actually some kind of achievement, thus I think they made the rule about 0.5 VP as a compromise. On the other hand, when I think of it everyone has 1 VP that they "own" from start and if you don't get ousted you should get for that point since nobody took it from you... Cantila - my two VPs worth...
