I have the vote card Tradition Upheld. It says: Choose ready Caitiff. If this vote is successful, burn that Caitiff. I thought Caitiff is any vampire or allie, but can't find a definition. The players in my group are a bit upset that a vote can destroy one of their vampires and want verification on what a Caitiff is. We've looked in the books, but it's not in the glossaries or indexes. Thanks in advance! ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** * http://supercorp.emoti.com * * Home of SuperCorp, a new wargame coming soon! * * Featuring superpowered soldiers in a dark future * * it includes flexible troop design rules, a fast * * and furious combat system, two exciting settings, * * and many ready to go forces and scenarios. * ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** *****

Caitiff is a clanless vampire, represented by the Ankh symbol. An example would be Nik. They have low capacities and a limitation of some sort. it is definitely not any minion. DellCry wrote in message ... [ quoted text not captured ]

A Caitiff is shown to be one of the vampires with the little Ankh symbol. Currently, this limits the card to: Hasina Kesi Igo the Hungry Navar McClaren Nik Smudge the Ignored Uriah Winter Antoinette DuChamp Franciscus Magdelena Schaefer Julius Dan Murdock -- James Coupe (Prince of Mercia, England) Vampire: Elder Kindred Network http://madnessnetwork.hexagon.net

Tradition Upheld would be truly aweful if it could burn any minion. > We've looked in the > books, but it's not in the glossaries or indexes. No, but it is there. Look where they list the 7 clans (Brujah, Gangrel, etc.). Caitiff are an 8th grouping of "clanless" low-generation vampires mentioned at the end. They are identified by the "Ankh" symbol (as a clan symbol). Note that "Pander", from the Sabbat set, are also identified by the Ankh symbol (against the background of the red Sabbat blood-splotch), but they are not considered Caitiff, and so would not be effected by Tradition Upheld. ___ / \ \ / \_/ ---|--- | | | The Ankh Lupus Australis ____ ____ \ \----/ / |()__()| __\ __ /__ / __\()/__ \ |/ \==/ \| | || |

See the list of clan symbols on the back of the VTES rulebook. Minion: any vampire or ally. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
