couple ?s r playin circle argues bout, rules are a little unclear and we can never agree upon: 1. when combat is pressed for another round, does range automatically resume back at short range or is range continuted where it was at the previous round? 2. rotscherek: rulin's keep changin, v:tes eliminated it i assume because of this. could someone clarify? 3. what's the next expansion set and will it contain setties and ass's? and er when? sure i will have more at another time, but if i could get a rulin on the above two that'd be SUPER. :P hurmph dittie do Moth.

Peace Moth, (any relation to Arthur?) _Every_ round of combat starts at close range. You can then maneuver to long range. >2. rotscherek: rulin's keep changin, v:tes eliminated it i assume because >of this. could someone clarify? OFFICIALLY, Roetchreck sends the vampire _dealing_ aggravated damage to torpor. >3. what's the next expansion set and will it contain setties and ass's? >and er when? The next expansion is Ancient Hearts and will include the Settites and Assamites. When is unknown. Nil carborundum illigitimi, James R. McClure Jr. The OS/2 Apostle <insert disclaimer here>

(there aren't any yet but there is one "Storm Sewers" that makes sure it stays at close for the whole combat). > 2. rotscherek: rulin's keep changin, v:tes eliminated it i assume because > of this. could someone clarify? I'll let those who have been on this list deal with that. _personally_ I think it should affect the vamp dealing out the agro for the spirit of the card and that it would be not unbalancing, but thats just my HO. > > 3. what's the next expansion set and will it contain setties and ass's? > and er when? > It's supposed to be called Ancient Hearts and will be Settites (who will probably replace malks as the premier Stealth Bleed deck and Assamites who will be a powerful Stealth rush deck. You must re-determine range. If neither combatant may maneuver, combat will be at short range. : 2. rotscherek: rulin's keep changin, v:tes eliminated it i assume because : of this. could someone clarify? The ruling hasn't changed in a LONG time, and then V:TES killed it. The most recent ruling is that it affects the VAMPIRE DEALING AGGRAVATED damage. -James

>> 3. what's the next expansion set and will it contain setties and ass's? >> and er when? >> It's supposed to be called Ancient Hearts and will >be Settites (who will probably replace malks as the premier >Stealth Bleed deck.... Why? Settite disciplines are obfuscate, presence and serpentis. Obfuscate we all know is the major stealth discipline Presence can bleed, but nowhere near as well as dominate Serpentis, in Vampire (RPG) is mainly a combat discipline, from memory, modelled in similar fashion to protean. eg: Protean Serpentis Level one: Gleam of the Eyes of the serpent red eyes (These two do different things, but the "eyes" theme is there) Level two: Wolf Claws Serpent's tongue (Both Agro damage, WC does more damage, but ST allows blood to be drunk from the attacked creature) Level Three: Earth Meld Mummify (Both allow the vampire a state of near indestructability, at the price of not being able to do much, ie move) Level four: Form of Wolf/bat Form of serpent (Spot the difference???) As for levels 5 and above I can't really remember, it may become different at the higher levels but I'm fairly sure that level 5 serpentis is similar to form of mist. Any comments from WotC about what Serpentis will be like? Ben

Social Charm and Legal Manipulations. Also with Dread Gaze they will have better vote defense. Majsety and Serpentitus will give them good combat defense as well. Who knows what the 'corruption' aspects of Serpentitus will do<g>. Inferior dominate is easier to give them then Superior presence to Malkavians (for combined pool gain and heavy bleed). I suggested a Haven uncovered for thier hoser (at Slugathon to Tom) since no one likes them. Reveal they are a setite to everyone and then they can be attacked at +1 stealth, can't remove the hoser from the target. They will be slower than Malks but better able to stay in the game (more pool and better defenses) and giving them dominate isn't that hard. REF
