once more for the record: how does one burn a wake? here's a scenario: wynn, who my predator controls, uses his special ability to rush one of my vamps at +1 stealth. there is no way of me gaining +1 intercept but i still play a wake on a tapped vamp (not the one wynn is rushing). when _exactly_ is the wake replaced? as soon as the waking vamp cannot gain +1 intercept or as soon as the combat is over between wynn and my rushed vamp? thanks in advance... --V--V-- simulacrum "Modern art wishes to be negative, critical, innovative and a perpetual surpassing, as well as immediately (or almost) assimilated, accepted, integrated, consumed. One must surrender to the evidence: art no longer contests anything, if it ever did." -- Jean Baudrillard

Any wake played (by any vampire - blocking or no) is replaced after the next ensuing combat is ended, or after the current action is ended, whichever comes first. -- L. I think the common sense answer is that the wording of wake mean's(ie should be) If the action is blocked and combat occurs, do not replace wake until after combat. In which case it would be replaced as soon as the block did not take place. There may have been an official ruling to this effect but I am not sure. Anyone? --Steve
