The other day we had a very close game : This was the setting : My prey has 1 pool left and is contesting Pentex with me, he brought out Esmeralda last turn. Now it is the beginning of his turn , what happens ? A : He has to pay for pentex first, can't (because he is on 1 pool ) has to sack penetex to stay alive, then can he sack esmeralda to gain 11 pool B : He first sacks Esmeralda , gaining 11 pool, then he pays for Pentex (or gives it up) Both effects happen during untap, but I argued that mandatory things go first (paying the contested card) BEFORE he can do anything else (like sacking esmeralda to gain pool) ? what is correct here ? greetings, Steve
