In article <3972f33d...@nntp.netcomuk.co.uk>, [ quoted text not captured ] Although it doesn't specify in the card text, we always play so that disciplines can only be played "on a ready vampire you control". Otherwise, they could be played on uncontrolled vampires as well. In "real" terms, a vampire does not go into torpor and wake up a generation lower. You can't diablerise whilst you sleep! It's "play on a vampire" which means anything controlled, either ready or not. It doesn't allow you to play it on something contested or uncontrolled, however. That requires specific card text. -- James Coupe

[ quoted text not captured ] Correct. Play on a <something-or-other> means a "controlled" something-or-other by default. And vampires in torpor are controlled. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
