Googled, didn't see an answer, so...
My Stanislava has a secure haven on her, but foolishly gets sent into
torpor anyway during a combat.
Now, normally, if one of my minions attempts to rescue or diablerize
another one of my minions, that's an undirected action -- my
prey/predator can block.
So, the question is: Can my own minions rescue or diablerize Stanislava,
or is still considered a (D) action?

The haven is burned when Stanislave foolishly got sent to torpor.
Card text:"Burn this card if this minion enters torpor."
But rescuing your own vampire is not directed, correct.

Also note that, while Stanislava doesn't keep her Secure Haven if sent
to torpor, you can play a Secure Haven on a Stanislava who is *already*
in torpor and it won't burn itself. (Card text only requires being
played on a minion you control, not a *ready* minion.) And then it
would matter that your own rescue/diablerie attempts are not directed.
(This actually mattered in a game I played a while ago, where my prey
played Secure Haven on a vamp he had in torpor and then was sad because
his cross-table ally was prohibited from rescuing the vampire, which he
would otherwise have done to help him out. :-)
Just FYI, the "actions that affect your own stuff are undirected" rule
is in the rulebook: 6.2.2 section 1 "Who May Attempt to Block".

don't think i'd noticed before that you can secure havenize allies...
might be nice to keep your war ghoul "secure" from entrancement. heh.

Isn't that why they invented Lobotomy. Sure, your War Ghoul is a whole lot
"slower" than normal but at least he's immune to Entrancement. Or you can pay
the 3 pool and try to withstrand the humiliation as you actually play with True
Faith...

Humiliation? Personally, I'd be in awe of somebody who made good use of a
"War Ghoul of the Cloth" deck.

Now for your last rites, bitch!

Actually I've always wanted to try a True Faith on a Succubus, to sort of mimic
Fall-From-Grace from Planescape: Torment.

Has anyone come up with a use of True Faith?
It stops Grave Robbing, Far Mastery, entrancement, and oh look it's rare.

Outside of theme decks, not really. The only real use I can see it for is as
meta against Baali. So if someone in your local playgroup runs a nasty Great
Beast deck, a little Faith will go a long way in protecting you.

I run both True Faith and Secure haven in my Hunter deck, to stop them
being stolen. (Muddles and Wendell at main minions, other hunter cards
as flavour that's also useful...eg: Millicent (mostly i am just acting
with allies, so no fear for me)). True faith's only 1 pool for
mortals, so it's a lot like a secure haven.
and there was this one game where my prey was playing Baali....boy did
Wendell enjoy getting righteous with those guys. Maneuver to long, 2R
agg, and Oh! you can't hurt me back. and you can't try and block with
sargon when i rush Huitzl, because of the rest of that text on TF. :)

I'm quite curious: How did you do to sustain the continuous damage from
Wendell? I like this ally, but haven't found yet a succesfull way to use it
preperly. Sure, chantry is the option, but don't know how it fits in.

Hehe. Should try to add some for the casual games against Damnans :-P

Malk Hunting Ground is a start. Humanitas, and just allocate the
damage to an almost empty guy and rescue him..hunt with two guys a
turn (want to do that anyway to bloat with blood dolls)..umm....i'll
grab the deck and have a look...rack, a faithful servant (choose the
servanted guy to take the damage in untap, he goes to torpor, you get
a blood back in minion, to help to be able to be rescued). Nothing too
fancy.
Lot's of precognizant mobilities and rush cards, though, to make the
most out of your hunters.
