Heh. Got another dumb question, and, btw, thanks for the response to my earlier questions - even if the WotC netrep seems to have dropped off the face of the Earth, it's cool that there are still some people out there who are both in touch with the rules and willing to answer questions. Anyway, my current question involves the use of Merill Molitor's ability in conjunction with Burst of Sunlight. Basically, if I do normal Burst of Sunlight for 1R aggravated to everyone in combat and then I use Merill's ability to turn it to normal, does that turn it all to normal, or just the point directed at him? In other words, I assume that Merill's ability is kinda a damage prevention/alteration thing, and, as such, can just alter the point hitting him, but I'm also being slowly brainwashed into thinking that maybe it does something like change the strike on the card so that 1 pt that was aggravated on the card is now normal or something like that, which would greatly affect BoS. Actually, I think that I'm just thinking way too hard about this card. Can somebody clear this up for me? Thanks, -Scott

If you burst of sunlight with him he change his agg. to normal, but the other takes the agg. This is one the infamous uses of Merill. -- Steve Bucy I'd be better off undead... "Hmmm. I notice the number of conditional phrases in there... _seems_ to indicate a weakness, _may_ be vulnerable in theory." - G'Kar

Excellent! What an absolute natural, yet I never picked up on it. Thank's for the post, whoever, you've just given me a new bit of strategy for my Tremere/Malk Bash'n'Burn deck I've been tinkerig with lately. -j
