Howdy, Laika gets lucky and blocks Hesha, the former on two blood. Nothing pre range, no maneuver, Hesha's strike is Tongue of the Serpent (sup) to steal two blood. At this point Laika plays Body Arsenal (inf), which costs two blood and makes her hands aggravated. She then announces a hand strike. Result: Hesha steals 0 blood and takes 1 agg from Laika's hands, going to torpor. Laika takes no damage, and is empty. I'm pretty sure that that is correct, but the timing on Body Arsenal felt weird. I had to explain to the newbie player I was teaching that Hesha's strike just plain didn't do anything, 'cause I'd already spent the blood, and that, no, he didn't get the default strike, since he was busy stealing 0 blood. (Yes, we were playing with precon starters, which explains the use of Tongue and Arsenal.) Body Arsenal has the same timing as Claws of the Dead, and can thus be played at any point prior to strike resolution. (I suppose it can be played after strike resolution too - to affect additionals. It just won't help the initial strike at that point.) And strike resolution is when the steal effect would take Laika's remaining blood. Right? Thanks, Alex
