In the VTes manual, under the section called "Steal Blood" it mentions that when a vampire is reduced to zero due to steal blood, it is burnt. My group noticed this was in the "Basic" section but was never reiterated in the Advanced rules. Would anyone have any comments on this? Is this how you guys play? Thanks.

Personally, I think that the basic rules are almost a disservice to players by adding in all kinds of simplistic and just wrong variations on the rules of the game which tend to just confuse people later. Unless something is specifically stated in the Advanced('Real') rules, do not assume that it carries over from basic, unless it's something blatantly obvious, like the fact that tapped vampires cannot usually play reaction cards. Anyway, You might be able to tell from my reaction that I almost spewed the first time I saw those 'basic' rules. WotC could have done so much better. (Of course, they were less confusing than the first rulebooks <Shudder>). Alec Chang

As for stealing all the blood burning the vamp, I must say no, I do not play with that rule. It is quite unbalanced, not to mention illegal (?) in the standard game, from what I've heard. I'm not sure about this, though. Hope this helps. David Pontes 8[
