Critique welcomed as always, I've been toying with some of the ideas in my head and then noticed that Antonio D'Erlette has pot. :) I did shamelessly netlist a few decks together for ideas, so credits to the TWDA and the usual suspects for some of the cards that turned up. Deck Name : Empowered Little Suckers Author : Dave "Shockwave" Knowles Description : Take one Cryptic Mission deck. Take one Nephandus deck. Notice new card allows you to basically Cryptic Mission, with an untap AND gives you [pot]. Or to put it another way: "I just want to a Nephandus bleed for 2, get blocked and then rip someones arms off." ¬_¬ I did originally put [DECK] into the topic, but of course Usenet doesn't like that. It should have been (DECK).

I think the only way to get the Leech through is to somehow use Cloak the Gathering and Veil the Legions (not really an option for this deck), or play with so many Leeches in the deck that you don't have room for much else and/or just choke on them at other times. Not to mention that difficultly of actually getting more than like 2 or 3 Leeches for meatspace deck construction. I really wish there was an action modifier to give allies stealth. It makes sense, something like "Daylight Machinations" or "Afternoon Appointment" - Vampires get -1 intercept when attempting to block this action. Another option, which I'm afraid would turn out to be terrible, but maybe worth thinking about, would be Magic of the Smith some Deer Rifles or Sniper Rifles (a long with some other random, good equipment) to complement the Bowl, and throw in Suppressing Fire.

Ah, I've already tossed out the Bowl (No minions with AUS, what was I thinking?) and tweaked the combat slightly here: http://www.zen36316.zen.co.uk/vtes/empowered_leeches.html That said, I agree. I'm mildly worried about jamming on pot, the Vampires can all play it too but there's not a vast amount of it anyway. Suppressing Fire would be lovely (considered Zip Guns that I just don't fire!) but I figured if they block the Leech, I still get to hit most people a little bit, and a Nephandus losing an Action isn't the end of the world. The addition of the 2* Graverobbing were purely for 'What was I thinking?!' after conversations in #vtes on IRC. :)
