After a minion has been corrupted, what is that minions status once your prey has been ousted? Thanks. Need to know. Dave. -------------------==== Posted via Deja News ====----------------------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Post to Usenet

So when a person goes out of the game, all their cards go with them (unless you play sucky Sabbat change). So in answer to your question, which I presume had the additional information that the corruption was done via the corruption card, that minion disappears when your prey is ousted. After having designated the change 'sucky' I supppose there is something to be said for having the cards stay around in the game. Especially in the case of a corrupted minion, because I have found that it is a case of maxing the limited return, by the time I have corrupted a large vampire I could have easily bleed my prey out of the game. In addition to this, there is the story element that things that have changed control simply shouldnt disappear from the game world, just because a methusela is ousted. However, I like the 'cards leave' rule because after all, its a card game, and no one can grumble if I have to leave early. So, I suppose you could institute a house rule about having the cards remain in the game if the person whose cards they are agrees, but thats something you'll have to figure out on your own. Hope that confused, James B.

The minion is burned, and is returned to his owner's ash heap. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@regency.wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. (*) - Subject to review by Rules Team

In article <33CA10...@regency.wizards.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] So If I am using sucky Sabbat rules, do I retain control of the minion after my prey has been ousted? Dave, [ quoted text not captured ]

No. Sabbat withdrawal rules only apply to withdrawal, not to oustings. [ quoted text not captured ]

Dave, Yup. Actually, this makes sense -- when your prey has influenced a minion, that minion is under his control (hence the minion being in that Methusaleh's controlled region). But if you corrupt that minion, you are now the controller, just as if you'd inflenced the minion yourself. So if you corrupt a minion, your control of it should not be affected by your prey being ousted. This is one Sabbat rule that I actually agree with. Take care, Jim
