Because strikes are resolved individually can one damage prevention card be used to prevent multiple damage points. I'm talking skin of rocks not flesh of marbles which is pretty clear on this. Simple scenerio to make my question clear. Vamp A punches Vamp B who punches A back. Vamp B plays skin of Rock at superior (prevent 2 damage) Vamp A plays blur at minor for one additional strike which is a punch for 1. vamp B takes a point of damage or Prevents it with the unused skin of rock. Also just to confirm if Basilla is given sup Celerity she wouldn't get to play additional strikes as the opposing vamp is torporized by the first punch.(assuming nothing silly) I believe this comes straight from the rulebook

Vamp B cannot prevent with the Skin Of Rock he played on the "prevention step" of the previous strike resolution. He must use another card to prevent the incoming damage. > Also just to confirm if Basilla is given sup Celerity she wouldn't get > to play additional strikes as the opposing vamp is torporized by the > first punch.(assuming nothing silly) I believe this comes straight from > the rulebook ?? i don't understand that ?

Excess damage prevention cannot be saved for later use, nor can it be retroactively used to prevent previously-applied damage. A single damage prevention effect can be used to prevent damage done from different sources, however, so long as all the damage being prevented is inflicted at the same time (hand strike and Wolf Companion, e.g.) > Also just to confirm if Basilla is given sup Celerity she wouldn't get > to play additional strikes as the opposing vamp is torporized by the > first punch.(assuming nothing silly) I believe this comes straight from > the rulebook Right (if "silly" includes damage prevention and dodge :-) -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
