If I have Monçada in my torpor region and Aaron Duggan in my ready region, does it cost me a pool to have Aaron rescue Monçada from torpor? Relevant card text: Ambrosio Luis Monçada, Plenipotentiary [SW] Cardtype: Vampire Clan: Lasombra Group: 2 Capacity: 10 Discipline: aus for DOM OBT POT PRE Sabbat Cardinal: Monçada cannot block. Actions directed at Monçada cost an additional pool. If Monçada is ready during your discard phase, he can untap another ready Lasombra. This question came up in the jol tournament. A google search didn't turn up anything. My suspicion is that Monçada's card text doesn't actually care about (D) actions. Aaron is still targetting Monçada, even though the action is undirected. Thanks in advance! -Matt --

[ quoted text not captured ] Maybe. My argument is that Monçada's text isn't referring to directed (D) actions but actually means actions that target him. Perhaps I'm wrong about that, though. -Matt

For it to work the other way, it would've had to read "Actions targeting Monçada cast an additional pool." -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. His card text actually uses the word "directed", and makes no mention of "targeted". How much more clear do you want it to be? -Snapcase
