Topaz and Disguised Weapon

It has already been established that Topaz can use her ability after playing Disguised Weapon, since it constitutes "equipping from your hand". But my question is about the timing of superior Disguised Weapon: "As above, but usable when choosing a strike." Can Topaz play superior Disguised Weapon to bring out a meat hook, and then wait to choose her strike (including a strike with a "replaced" weapon) until after her ability resolves? Thanks.

[ quoted text not captured ] How is that different than what has already been established? DW superior is playable at a different time than DW inferior, but it is not a strike selection. You can play DW at superior "when choosing a strike" to get a .44 and then choose "dodge" as your strike. You can play DW superior after Immortal Grapple to get a .44.
