Hi, I have started playing Jyhad just recently, as have the rest of the people in my playing group. To avoid any further arguments (we have plenty as it is), I would like a clariffication for the Mask of 1000 Faces at the superior level. Basically, it says: as above but with +1 stealth. So, my question is: does it means the action continues at +1 stealth or do you get +1 stealth to play the card? Thanks Yaz *** All science is either physics or stamp collecting. J.J. Welcome Yaz- The Mask allows the vampire with sup. Obf. taking over the action to continue the action at +1 stealth. The card is an action modifier and so cannot be blocked. Hope this helps. stephen

The only thing you can intercept is an action. The Mask is an action modifier, so it cannot be intercepted and stealth is not meaningful. The stealth is added to that of the original action. No stealth bonuses are needed to *play* any action modifier.

All action modifiers lend bonuses to actions, so the Mask gives +1 stealth to whatever action is currently taking place. To forestall any other arguments in your group, note that Mask can also end up making a vampire perform an action which may otherwise be illegal (for example, a vampire with Animalism may try to call an Army of Rats, and through use of the Mask, a vampire with superior Obfuscate and no Animalism may end up being the one who calls the action). | If you've got a hot lead on a new | *--Joe--* | PC game, call the announce line at | js...@vt.edu | ** csi...@discus.ise.vt.edu ** | +-------------------------------------+---------------------------------- "Carnivores, oy!" -- Timon, TLK
