Oops, meant this as a response in the other thread.

It hoses Dom bounce v effectively, but costs 2 and must be played when
action is announced. Also doesn't hose much else, by comparison - 1
less skill, and only reaction cards. Nowhere near as good, overall.
In fact, it barely every gets played - i guess because a 2 blood cost
on any card starts looking a bit scary thru a long game, esp when
combined with any other cards that also cost.

Exact.
Also because if your prey doesn't deflect with Dom (and / or S:CE with Pre)
those cards are dead slots (except with Oliver Thrace, maybe there's
something to do there), while Touch of Clarity works also if your pred or
any dangerous opponent plays Dom (to deflect, bleed etc.). MUCH more useful.
And yes, although I wouldn't call it broken I feel that this card is very
strong, and definitely not something I'd have wanted in Dem (with all the
other anti-bounce options in Obf + Revelations). Meanwhile, the Lasombra
still have no reliable and efficient tech to bleed responsibly...

[pot] Cancel the action and untap the acting minion. (The blocking
minion is not tapped.) does not count ?

I just _knew_ that someone would make cornercase propositions. ;)
Tangle Atropos` Hand (the card you cited without naming) is made for use
with the Trujahs, and the Pot version can be useful only with that precise
tech (or just to cycle).
At Pot, Tangle Atropos` Hand is just pure shite : it's a Change of Target
which costs a blood !! How do you compare that with a card that allows you
to continue your bleed on the right target ?!
BTW, if the target of the bleed declined to block by deflecting and Touch of
Clarity is used to cancel the deflect, he can't try to block again, right ?

You should re-read the card.

It's not Change of Target. CoT requires a successful block and
prevents the acting minion from attempting the same action again.
Tangle requires a block attempt, not a successful block, and allows
the acting minion to attempt the same action again.
So if you're bleeding with Lasombra, it's a great way to be
responsible (as well as attempt the bleed a second time with the same
bleeder).

Interesting (although still wayyyy less good than ToC / Hide the Mind).
Question : can you attempt to block a stealthed action even though you know
you will fail (have no intercept to add) ?

Restated: Can you attempt to block an action that is at stealth?
Yes, you can.

Sure. But since most Lasombra don't have access to ToC or Hide the
Mind, it's a reasonable substitute. Its blood cost is the prohibitive
part, since Lasombra stealth/bleed decks tend to be so blood-intensive
anyway.

Yes. Same goes for the Giovanni. But they also have some nice blood gain
ressources, and in addition with a Trujah it might be worth it...
