Name: Codex of the Damned [Third:R] Cardtype: Equipment Unique equipment. While the bearer has Thaumaturgy [tha], he or she is considered to have superior Thaumaturgy. Each time the bearer with Thaumaturgy commits diablerie, each other ready vampire you control gains 1 blood, and each one younger than the victim may receive a master: Discipline card from your ash heap, hand, or library (shuffle afterward). So do the effects of this equipment get ordered by the user, or do the effects happen sequentually a listen on the card? Example: 1 cap vampire is ready to receive blood and Discipline card after a successful diablerie. Can the owner place the discipline card on the vampire, then add a blood, assuming the diablerized vampire is a 2 cap or higher? Raille

At the same time. So the capacity boost from the Discipline card counts for holding the extra blood. [ quoted text not captured ]

We've always had to follow the five steps of diablerie and those specify that you get blood first, then may get a discipline card at step 4. While I can't recall any right now, I seem to remember other cards being ruled that we had to follow the card instructions in that precise order. If Codex is different, then why wasn't it worded properly, with skill card acquisition first, then blood gain? Jeff [ quoted text not captured ]

That thought was first in my mind when I was reading the Codex card and it seemed just to fit that sort of thing. and it seems I was right. Raille
