Sounds like a great idea! An interesting feature might be to profile new card ideas. (Give something to WOTC to think about). To start the ball rolling, I'll give mine. My favorite decks are political, in nature, so this is something I had thought of a while ago. For this idea, most Clans would have thier own version of the card. <Clan> Domination {Master} - 0 pool While <Clan> Domination is in play, all <Clan> Vampires recieve 1 extra vote during any political action. If any other Domination card is brought into play during the game, immediatly burn this card. Any thoghts or other card ideas? rob.

Since WOTC announced that there will not be any V:TES expansions for at least a year :( the newsletter and new cards are a great idea. I would be more than happy to write some articles for the newsletter. And as far as the new cards go, lets run with this one. I mean, I would love to build some new cards and use them (just for fun) in my playgroup. Maybe we can get someone's web page to house a list of the current net generated cards so we could all discuss them. Who would not like to take a few of their commons and turn them into something new? T_Ban...@premier-lending.com

Having a card-restricted set of means to remove this sort of effect is not sufficient to reduce its cost to zero. Either make the card cost 2 pool (a la the much-more-easily burned Ventrue Directorate Assembly), or have it (also) burnable as a +1 stealth (D) action. or have it cost 1 pool and have it (also) burnable as a vote -- L. No way, should only be 1 since it only affects one minion. Sport Bike & Tabloid Newspaper both grant +1 intercept, both affect only 1 minion and both only cost 1 pool. Anything granting the converse (+1 stealth) affecting only 1 minion, should also cost only 1 pool. It might be better to compare to other permanent stealth cards, like Backways or the Labyrinth. These both cost 1 pool and effect only 1 minion, but they also have disadvantages: They are unique, and they only effect one particular clan. They also cost a master phase action instead of a minion phase action to bring into play, and master phase actions are sometimes considered more valuable. Tabloid Newspaper is a poor example, since it requires the minion to burn a blood each time to gain the intercept. This is the price paid for having one less pool cost than KRCG News Radio, which does the same thing without that disadvantage. John W.

Not true. Stealth is more powerful than intercept. A minion with a base of 1 stealth will be unblocked by any minion that doesn't have intercept. This means, without further modifications on either side, a previously unsuccessful action would now be successful. A minion with intercept, on the other hand, in a similar situation will have a previously unsuccessful action against it now be again unsuccessful. Whereas intercept is only useful if someone is using stealth, stealth is useful whether or not they play intercept. @#$ The Corrupter $#@ @#$ Adrian Lee Sullivan $#@ Truth is as @#$ Game Theory - Coffee - Opinion - Hedonism $#@ subjective as @#$ <http://upl.cs.wisc.edu/~adrian/jyhad> $#@ Reality ... Not so. Stealth is more powerful than intercept. This is why retainers that give intercept are free, while retainers that give only limited-use stealth cost 2 blood. (Mr. Winthrop vs. Marijava Ghoul. One of the blood cost might be to balance the extra life and non-uniqueness that the Ghoul has. The other is to balance the fact that she bestows stealth, albeit only on a selected subset of actions). And why KRCG is clanless in both control and effect, while locations that give stealth to non-stealthy clans are much more restrictive while costing the same. One thing that the game does not need more of is global-use stealth. -- L. This card would give a major advantage to a vampire calling a vote, with predator/prey having limited or non-existent intercept. I think it would work well as a non-unique costing 2 pool. Stealth is pretty powerful, how about: Black Limousine Ventrue (Antitribu?) 1 pool unique equipment vehicle Minion with this equipment can burn one blood to gain +1 stealth on all political actions for that minion phase. If one of these actions is intercepted, this minion gains an optional press to end combat. How does that sound? The paying a blood reduces its effectiveness in a weenie vote deck, the +1 stealth on political actions is good, but not as good as generic +1 stealth. The optional press adds a bit of flavour, "Argh the brujah are attacking, jump in the limo and run away!!!" :-) -- Jeffrey Endres Undergrad B. In our playgroup, we've been tossing around the idea of something to monkey with the impossible-to-touch-without-a-well-timed-Sudden-Reversal Short Term and Protracted Investment cards. The card we've been thinking of most often is: Stock Market Crash Master 1 or 2 pool cost. Burn all Investments in play, and all blood on them. Only one Stock Market Crash may be played in a game. Another related card was: Insider Trader Retainer (or ally) 2 blood (or 2 pool) (1 life, 1 hand dam, 1 bleed? or 0 bleed?) The vampire with this retainer (or this ally) may take a +1 (D) action to steal one blood from an investment, and put that blood in its controller's blood bool. What do you think? Is it wrong to mess with the sanctity of the investments? What do you think of the balance of the effects? Bullfrog

I'm sorely tempted to make him Ventrue, although I think that could be overlooked by simply calling the ally something like "Pentex Broker." I would probably make him 0 hand damage, 1 bleed. Anyway, I'm still looking for people who might be interested in joining a JOL game in which we playtest these cards... Are you interested? Is anyone else? John Baker

No, it should not be clan-specific. I would prefer to see it as unique, or more expensive.
