Mask of 1k Faces ?'s

Silly question I know, but at what point can you use the Mask? I assume that if someone blocked you, you could. How about in the middle of a combat? I don't think so, but my friend is arguing yes. The argument from his point of view is that it says the action continues as normal after. So, he claims he can pop it in the middle of combat. Help me! While Mask can be played before the start of combat when the action is blocked, it cannot be played during combat. The only minion cards that can be played during combat are combat cards, unless card text says otherwise (like Legacy of Power). -- L.
