Q: In combat, if one minion plays Carrion Crows and the opposing minion plays Anestetic Touch (first strike, then end combat), does the opposing minion still take damage from the Carrion Crows? Carrion Crows says damage occurs during strike resolution, but the minion who used the crows never got a strike. I think that since the opposing minion had a strike resolution, is still goes off. Of course, it never says which strike resolution, which is why I ask :) Thanks for the help. -Vinnie!

Unless specified otherwise, "during strike resolution" means normal (non-first-strike) strike resolution. (This also applies to Ghoul Retainer, Murder of Crows, Wolf Companion, etc) So, no. Carrion Crows does its damage during the normal strike resolution phase. The Anesthetic Touch, being a first strike effect, means the combat never gets to that stage. (Even if the minion who played CC got first strike somehow, the CC still would not take effect until normal strike resolution.) If the Anesthetic Touch was played at the [obe] level (non-first strike), then, yes, the CC would take effect. --Colin McGuigan

[ quoted text not captured ] No, because carrion crows resolve in the normal strike resolution phase. First strike resolves before the normal resolution phase. So the hand strike produced by the anesthetic touch, is the only thing that resolves if there are none other first strikes.
