Reading the latest card-text of Obedience has left me a little bit confused. The older card text of Obedience states that combat does not occur. The latest Obedience card text: Obedience Only usable when this reacting vampire is about to enter combat with an acting younger vampire. [dom] Untap the acting vampire, do not tap this reacting vampire, and end the current action (and combat). The acting vampire cannot attempt the same action this turn. [DOM] As above, but do not untap the acting vampire. Does this imply that the action _and_ the combat are ended and so the acting minion could Psyche!? I'd say he/she/it could. If not, what is the reasoning behind it? I am sorry if this is glaringly obvious, but my search of the newsgroup yielded no results. Jeroen du Chatinier

Combat cannot occur outside of an action. Therefore, when the action officially ends (by playing Obedience), the window in which Psyche! could be played is never even opened. That's my take on it. Jeroen du Chatinier expounded: [ quoted text not captured ] I don't think this card-text is an improvement. There is nothing on the migrations sheet on the WW site. The first sentence still saays "*about* to enter combat". I'm pretty certain that function hasn't changed and the combat does not occur and so combat cards cannot be played. (no Psyche!) On the subject of psyche!: Am I right in believing that it is part of the first combat for Infernal Pursuit redrawing purposes?

Correct. > On the subject of psyche!: > Am I right in believing that it is part of the first combat for Infernal > Pursuit redrawing purposes? No. Psyche! is played after the combat.
