An interesting question came up from our Assamite/Ravnos player. When an Assamite plays a Contract, the (Assamite) minion who is suppose to fullfill the contract is selected at the time of play. What happens to the contract when a Malkavian Antitribu plays Derange on the Assamite minion chosen to fullfill the contract. 1. Nothing happens to the Contract and the minion can still attack through the Contract. or 2. Nothing happens to the Contract but the minion can not attack through the Contract. or 3. The Contract is negated due to the chosen Assamite no longer being an Assamite and no longer eligible to fullfill the contract. Thanks Michael Eichler Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

The contract reads "....that Assamite can attack that minion...". It says not "....that vampire can attack that minion...."; so, as long as the chosen Assamite is not considered Assamite, say, due to a Derange's effect or a Clan Impersonation, that Assamite cannot take the attack action through the played Contract. At least i think so. Regards. Aemilianus, Prince of Rome. [ quoted text not captured ]

Hello, Our play group at Ramstein is still wondering on the correct answer for the below question... ----- Thus far we have received 2 answers, both of which did not agree with each other. >The second is right. >The contract reads "....that Assamite can attack >that minion...". >It says not "....that vampire can attack that minion...."; so, as long >as the chosen Assamite is not considered Assamite, say, due to a >Derange's effect or a Clan Impersonation, that Assamite cannot take >the attack action through the played Contract. >At least i think so. >Regards. >Aemilianus, Prince of Rome. and >1. Sorry about that - I responded to your original message, but it appears (according to Deja) that my post did not go out. #2 is correct. Contract allows the "Assamite" to attack, by card text, so won't allow a non-Assamite to attack. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. In article <8bvi53$lcg$1...@nnrp1.deja.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] Not a problem. Thank you for the final clarification. We were somewhat amazed to see two different answers and no one else taking notice of it. ME [ quoted text not captured ]
