I do have two questions. 1.) Sabbat Vampire cannot become Princes etc and vice versa. But if a Camarilla vampire calls a referendum to become prince, can Sabbat titleholders VOTE? It doesnt make very much sense... 2.) I had an argument with a friend of mine about the anouncement of additional strikes in a combat. According to the V:tES Complete Rules Reference (v2.12) each minion resolve his normal strike, and THEN the minions get the possibility to gain additional strikes. My friend argues, that its not possible to play cards after damage prevention. He states, that additional strikes has to be announced after establishing range when the strikes are choosen. Thanks in advance. -- Daniel Jocham alias dan...@sbox.tu-graz.ac.at

Yes they can. You can, however, play "Closed Session" to prevent them from doing this. It does not make sense if taken literally, but you do not have to take it literally by assuming that Sabbat vampires vote openly in the Camarilla. There are other ways you can rationalize their influence on the political process. Once you accept that the game contains vampires from more than one sect, you must accept that the voting process can no longer be considered merely an internal affair to a given sect. When a vampire calls a Praxis Siezure, he is not merely siezing power within the Camarilla, but within all of vampiredom, and within the Jyhad as a whole. To the extent that this is true (and lets assume that it is true for all vampires in this particular skirmish within the Jyhad) then influential vampires within other sects may have means to prevent this from happening. Additional strikes are played after the initial strike resolution (resolution of the first pair of strikes). Or as specified on card text, of course (Vial of Garou blood, Acrobatics, etc.) -- L. Sure it does. The Archbishop of Mexico City leaks the word that if Smudge becomes the Prince of Dallas, then there's going to be a big Crusade on Dallas within the week. The Primogen of Dallas promptly inform Smudge that he's going to be Ignored on this one. Similarly, when Roy tries to become the Archbishop of New York, Gilbert Duane casually mentions that it'd be a real shame if some of those muddled vampire hunters he knew got a list of all the prominent Sabbat in New York and a couple of flamethrowers, so Roy goes out on his ear. It's not like vampire meet at parliment over tea to call votes, you know? -Mark Langsdorf Jyhad Archivist http:///www.io.com/~mlangsdo/RPGs/Jyhad/

If a vampire without Fortitude, as a result of a successful action diablerizes an older vampire and gains Fortitude, can that vampire then play Freak Drive to untap and act again? Gary Schwartz
