Please help me understand these two abilities: Jacko (Brujah-Antitribu) Card text says:Jacko gets an optional additional strike during the first round of combat. This does not count against his additional strike effect limit for that round. What is an "additional strike effect limit"? How and when is it determined? Genevieve (Gangrel-Antitribu) "Genevieve gets one additional vote during each political action" She is a Priscus so when is her additional vote cast: during the Prisci sub-referendum or during the main referendum? By the way: You can't play a press after S:CE, right? Thank you. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

You may only play a single card that grants additional strikes, Jacko gets an extra one in addition to being able to play a blur or something. > > Genevieve (Gangrel-Antitribu) > "Genevieve gets one additional vote during each political action" > She is a Priscus so when is her additional vote cast: during the Prisci > sub-referendum or during the main referendum? > During the main referendum > By the way: You can't play a press after S:CE, right? > Yep, you need to restart combat with something like a superior Psyche! > Thank you. no problem [ quoted text not captured ]

You may use only one source of additional strikes per round. Jacko's special text would count (preventing him from playing any additional strike cards), if it were not for the card text saying otherwise. As it stands, he could play "Blur" *and* use his special ability to gain a total of three additional strikes per round. > Genevieve (Gangrel-Antitribu) > "Genevieve gets one additional vote during each political action" > She is a Priscus so when is her additional vote cast: during the Prisci > sub-referendum or during the main referendum? She votes during the main referendum. Her special ability is distinct from that of Gratiano, who gains an additional vote during the Prisci sub vote. > By the way: You can't play a press after S:CE, right? No, you can't. (As an aside, though, I think that allowing presses after S:CE, a concept I call "Strike: Round Ends", makes an interesting house rule, one that prevents S:CE cards from becoming too powerful in a limited-card environment where other S:CE counters are not prevalent. It also has the interesting effect of making press-based combat viable, which is almost never true otherwise. This is, IMHO, a far better solution than imposing a card limit, with respect to solving the problems faced by new playgroups.) -- John Whelan

I'm not LSJ but I do know you can use Pscyche in superior to begin a new combat after the combat end card is played. (I play mostly killer combat decks...)Certain vamps also have the ability to start a new combat... Also a card like Riposte can be used an the damage will be dealth even if a combat end card is played. There are ways around combat end (immortal grapple. psyche, riposte...) good luck In article <Pine.GSO.4.21.001008...@amanda.dorsai.org>, [ quoted text not captured ] -- Hugues Bertrand Prince of Montreal www.geocities.com/princedemontreal princede...@yahoo.com [ quoted text not captured ]
