howdy, y'all. in a recent post, a person was informed that their minion can steal another methuselah's vampire's retainer, regardless of that retainer's discipline or clan affiliation. to almost quote, "the discipline (or clan) is only needed to get the retainer into play, not to make use of it". loosely following this train of thought, any of my minions can play storm sewers as long as it's brought into play by my nosferatu. also, the card text doesn't say that it can only be played by nosferatu (i don't have the card in front of me so i'm shooting from the hip here). is this correct play for this card? cheers. -- **************************** n: glel...@acs.bu.edu - jes' ask fer george *"trained huffy technician"* o: an autarkis in your midst, being persecuted **************************** p: live fast, love hard, die with yer cleats in --to the rational mind, nothing is inexplicable, only unexplained. dwho--

Yes. Although, technically, the nosferatu don't bring it into play - the Methuselah does, but needs to control Nos to do it. You need to control Nos in order to take control of the Storm Sewers, but (assuming card text doesn't restrict use to Nos), any Minion could later take an action in the Sewers (by tapping the Sewers when the action is announced). -- ----- L. This is correct. Note, however, that there are only a few rare action cards that allow this. There are no cardless actions to move retainers around. >loosely following this train of thought, any of my minions can play storm >sewers as long as it's brought into play by my nosferatu. also, the card >text doesn't say that it can only be played by nosferatu (i don't have the >card in front of me so i'm shooting from the hip here). is this correct >play for this card? A master card with a clan symbol on it only requires that you have a vampire of that card in play when you play it. Once in play, any of your minions can make use of it (provided they meet any restrictions on the card). Hunting grounds can be used by vampires of any clan once in play, and Storm Sewers can be used by any minion. There *are* master cards that restrict further (Backways is only usable by Gangrel according to its text), but in general, you are correct, any minion can make use of a master card once it's in play. | If you've got a hot lead on a new | *--Joe--* | PC game, call the announce line at | js...@vt.edu | ** csi...@discus.ise.vt.edu ** | +-------------------------------------+---------------------------------- "There.
