I have some questions: Can a minion dodge oponents stutter step ? How does Protected Resources work, is it during each bleeding actions, each round, or just as long as it stays in play? About 'Save Face' I don't get that card, when and how do I use it ? About the "non-camarilla", does it mean independent,, or as it states not member of the camarilla. And what about Caitif are they camarilla ? the reason for this question is that non-camarilla is in the new version translated to independent.

Each bleed action is capped at 2 pool loss as long as it stays in play. > About 'Save Face' I don't get that card, when and how do I use it ? What part of the description of when to use it don't you understand? It's used by a vampire of the same clan as one of the combatants. > About the "non-camarilla", does it mean independent,, or as it states > not member of the camarilla. Only on vampires that are independent. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Well it obviously doesn't work when it's not in play. I'm not sure what the question is. A given bleed action against you cannot burn more than 2 of your pool while you have Protected Resources out. Is that what you meant? >About 'Save Face' I don't get that card, when and how do I use it ? Do you mean you don't know how it works, or you don't know what it's good for? I still don't know what it's good for, but it works like this: When you have an untapped guy of clan X, and a younger guy from clan X is in combat, you can play Save Face. Younger Clan X Guy gets a mandatory press to continue. If he's ready at the end of combat, he gains a blood. Note that you don't have to control Younger Clan X Guy to play it, apparently, which I still don't get, since the only other combat card that you can play without controlling a guy involved in the combat has very explicit text allowing you to do so, which Save Face lacks. >About the "non-camarilla", does it mean independent,, or as it states >not member of the camarilla. Non-Camarilla means non-camarilla, currently Sabbat or Independent. gomi -- Yes, I believe but I'd rather not pray What I believe in I'd rather not say, baby

No. [6.4.5] explains what happens (see: dodge). [ quoted text not captured ]

I think the reason for this is: Nosferatu Putrescence needs "stronger" card text than Save Face, because NP has no minion playing it: you, the Methuselah, are playing the card. On Save Face, there's explicit card text telling you what minion is playing the card and under what conditions they may do so: "Usable only by an untapped vampire not involved in the current combat [...] Choose a younger vampire of the same clan who is involved in the combat. The chosen vampire gets a mandatory press, only usable to continue combat." Since it doesn't say you can only play this when you control one of the combatants, you can play it even if you don't. The general rule on combat cards is that they can be played only *by* combatants, not only by minions controlled by the same Methuselah as one of the combatants. Having explicitly broken that rule, there is no other rule Save Face needs to break. Josh the postess with the mostess
