"Useless" cards, and two question

First the question that just occured to me: the "Right Hand of Augustus" Giovanni has a special ability that says that retainers (and allies? not sure, don't have the card with me right now...) on her cost one less *pool*. What about retainers that are paid by the vampire, the Zombie for instance? Going strictly by the card they would cost normal, but I think the intention was for them to be reduced cost also. Options? Second, a question regarding 1st tradition: when exactly does it stop? The card text isn't exactly clear -- is it when one meth has either skipped three turns or paid 6 pool, or does it accumulate for the whole table? Help! ...and then another thing: some cards in the set seem totally useless to me, and I'm sure that some of them have uses that I just haven't figured out. + Rampage: seems to me that Arson is better in all regards. When would you ever want to burn your own location? + Goodnight Sweet Prince: what?!? Pay 2 blood for the chance that I might just get it back? What good does it do to empty someone's crypt? + Werewolf Pack: this has been discussed here before, this card should have "WALLPAPER" as the description text. Add to the list if you like... :-) //Petri

Does this mean she reduces the cost by one blood? Nearly none. >+ Werewolf Pack: this has been discussed here before, this card should > have "WALLPAPER" as the description text. True. Welcome to the wonderful world of V:tES - not enough money for extensive playtesting, so many cards are simply crippled to ensure that they won't be too powerful. Like being too lazy to keep you eyes on the road, so you simply scrape the cement median all the way home. Better to spend the effort to drive in the middle. -- L. Dark Soverns. As I've never had occasion to actually use any Dark Soverns card I have (excepting vamps, that is) I often forget it's there. [ quoted text not captured ]
