Greetings everyone - a few quick questions for y'all: 1) If a vampire is burned, can someone bring out (from their crypt) another copy of it? Given the picturesque description in the book of "centuries of unlife catching up with the vampire, turning it to dust", I would think that this is not allowed, but we can't locate any explicit rulings on the matter. Likewise, I assume that other unique cards (locations, allies, etc.) would be treated in a similar manner, no? 2) To my chagrin, it's been pointed out to me that the acting Methusulah can indeed throw political cards in favor of his own political action. Our question here is this: when the text says "Additional political cards can also be used by any of the other Methusulahs for votes", does this usage constitute an action, limited to one of any kind of card (e.g. if I have two KRC in hand, can I throw them both in for +2 votes)? And, if so - how *do* people deal with degenerate all-KRC decks? 3) If a weapon's maneuver is used, the weapon must be used for the strike. What about subsequent strikes earned by additional strike cardplay - must they be conducted by the weapon as well? Obviously, if the maneuver is earned via a strike card (e.g. "Thrown Gate"), there is no obligation (or ability) to repeat the strike on additional strikes - is the situation similar for weapons? 4) I've seen references on the net that say that "Concealed Weapons" is actually a discipline-less card, and that "Blood Rage" is actually a Thaumaturgy card. Is this official in any way? (It doesn't appear on the FAQ or errata anywhere.) Thanks to all, Jeff Tang

Well a lot of people have different opinions on a lot of ambiguous situations, and this is no different. Some playgroups use a house rule saying that if a vampire is burned, flush him/her from the game. This kind of conflicts with the rule of singularity and contested vampires. Make a rule for your group, and make sure all agree. > 2) To my chagrin, it's been pointed out to me that the acting Methusulah > can indeed throw political cards in favor of his own political action. > Our question here is this: when the text says "Additional political cards > can also be used by any of the other Methusulahs for votes", does this > usage constitute an action, limited to one of any kind of card (e.g. if I > have two KRC in hand, can I throw them both in for +2 votes)? And, if so > - how *do* people deal with degenerate all-KRC decks? It's another type of situation that may require a house-rule. if someone insists on playing a weenie deck, my group make it clear that that strategy (is it really a strategy?) is not welcome. Sure, you can sit in, but after the 2nd or 3rd KRC, look to get rushed a lot. Kind of hard to call votes when all his/her vampires or in torpor. > 3) If a weapon's maneuver is used, the weapon must be used for the > strike. Not at all. If you use a .44 Magnum to manuever to range, shoot, and play Acrobatics or Blur, pick any ranged strike you want. Additional strikes are not limited by a weapon's manoever. > 4) I've seen references on the net that say that "Concealed Weapons" is > actually a discipline-less card, and that "Blood Rage" is actually a > Thaumaturgy card. Blood Rage, however, is considered errata, and is a Thaum card. > Thanks to all, > Jeff Tang You're quite welcome. Behind the Beauty, Jere Cracks Appear... Culleton

!1) If a vampire is burned, can someone bring out (from their crypt) !another copy of it? Given the picturesque description in the book of !"centuries of unlife catching up with the vampire, turning it to dust", I !would think that this is not allowed, but we can't locate any explicit !rulings on the matter. Likewise, I assume that other unique cards !(locations, allies, etc.) would be treated in a similar manner, no? I have always pondered over the same question, I think vampires cannot be brought into play anymore because they are BURNED which means they´re dead as a vampire can be Locations however I feel can be brought into play again, if the succubus club is burned, I see no reason why another succubus club couldn't be founded again. !2) To my chagrin, it's been pointed out to me that the acting Methusulah !can indeed throw political cards in favor of his own political action. !Our question here is this: when the text says "Additional political cards !can also be used by any of the other Methusulahs for votes", does this !usage constitute an action, limited to one of any kind of card (e.g. if I !have two KRC in hand, can I throw them both in for +2 votes)? And, if so !- how *do* people deal with degenerate all-KRC decks? You can throw both KRCs in for votes !3) If a weapon's maneuver is used, the weapon must be used for the !strike. What about subsequent strikes earned by additional strike !cardplay - must they be conducted by the weapon as well? Obviously, if !the maneuver is earned via a strike card (e.g. "Thrown Gate"), there is no !obligation (or ability) to repeat the strike on additional strikes - is !the situation similar for weapons? I think you don't need to use the weapon for the additional strikes... !4) I've seen references on the net that say that "Concealed Weapons" is !actually a discipline-less card, and that "Blood Rage" is actually a !Thaumaturgy card. Is this official in any way? (It doesn't appear on the !FAQ or errata anywhere.) I believe blood rage is a ruling, but I don't know about that Concealed Weapon thing, though it seems logical to me, else there is no reason to put a Concealed Weapon in your deck rather than a Disguised Weapon, which would mean Concealed Weapon was useless. !Thanks to all, !Jeff Tang

Likewise, I assume that other unique cards >(locations, allies, etc.) would be treated in a similar manner, no? Burning a vampire or other unique card does not prevent other copies of the card from being played again. While it would make game world sense to disallow this, it would be too much of a hit to the flow of the card game. Might make for an interesting variant, though. >2) To my chagrin, it's been pointed out to me that the acting Methusulah >can indeed throw political cards in favor of his own political action. >Our question here is this: when the text says "Additional political cards >can also be used by any of the other Methusulahs for votes", does this >usage constitute an action, limited to one of any kind of card (e.g. if I >have two KRC in hand, can I throw them both in for +2 votes)?
